Regulation No. 627 on health certificates – terrestrial animals and germinal products thereof – Regulation (EU) 2021/403 (Terrestrial Animal Health Certificate Regulation).

The present Regulation, Ministry of Health and Care Services, and Ministry of Agriculture and Food, and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, establishes model health certificates and combined animal health/official certificates related to the movement between EEA countries of land animals and breeding material thereof, and import from countries outside the EEA for land animals and breeding material thereof. It implements Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/403 on health certificates for terrestrial animals and germinal products thereof. The provisions of Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/403 shall always take precedence over the provisions of this Regulation in case of conflict. The Norwegian Food Safety Authority shall supervise and take the necessary administrative decisions to achieve compliance with provisions given in or pursuant to this Regulation.
Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2021/403 on health certificates for terrestrial animals and germinal products thereof, here reproduced, lays down rules regarding animal health certificates provided for in Regulation (EU) 2016/429 and animal health/official certificates based on Regulation (EU) 2016/429 and on Regulation (EU) 2017/625 related to certain categories of terrestrial animals and germinal products, including but not limited to bovine, ovine and caprine animals; camelid and cervid animals; equine animals; birds; poultry; and bees. It contains a series of model certificates for the movement of the aforementioned animals between EEA and non-EEA countries.
