Abstract
The present Regulation governs the management of waste in Norway, focusing on recycling, treatment, and handling. It aims to reduce waste production, promote recycling and recovery, and ensure environmentally sound waste management practices. The Regulation covers waste management activities, including the recycling, treatment, and disposal of waste. It applies to all types of waste, including municipal and industrial waste.
The Regulation contains the following chapters: 1. Discarded Electrical and Electronic Products; 2. Municipal Responsibilities for Small Recreational Boats; 3. Discarded Batteries; 4. Discarded Vehicles; 5. Collection and Recycling of Discarded Tires; 6. Return Systems for Beverage Packaging; 7. Packaging and Packaging Waste; 8. Refund of Fees on Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and Perfluorocarbons (PFCs); 9. Disposal of Waste; 10. Incineration of Waste; 10a. Sorting and Material Recycling of Certain Types of Waste; 11. Hazardous Waste; 12. Fee for Hazardous Waste Declaration; 13. Transboundary Shipments of Waste; 13A. Waste Transporters, Dealers, and Brokers; 14. Discarded PCB-Containing Insulating Glass Units; 15. Determination of Waste Fees for Household Waste Management; 16. Radioactive Waste; 17. Management of Mineral Waste from the Mineral Industry; 18 (Repealed); 18A.
