Land Use Regulations, 2079 (2022).

These Regulations are framed in exercise of powers conferred by section 32 of the Land Use Act, 2076. Rule 3 requires the government to publish a notification in respect of implementation of any land use program in the gazette and other media. Rule 4 provides for preparation of land use area maps and the details to be included therein, which must then be handed over to the local authority. The land use plan must be prepared accordingly by the local authority to implement the land use program. The Rules contain provisions in respect of land registration system and updating the land use zone classification. The procedure for change of land user is laid down. The rules regarding fragmentation of land are provided. The Rules contain guidelines for land consolidation and development programs and procedures for resolving land use disputes between provinces and local levels.
