Abstract
The present Rules establish the procedure for obtaining the permission for the import of plants or plant products. They provide also for the inspection of the plant or plant products and the packing materials at the custom check points, and set out the procedure for the issuance of the export certificate by the plant quarantine officer. The Rules also contain provisions relating to phtyosanitary certificates, permits for the carriage of plant and plant products consignments, and provide different application forms for importing plants or plant products and formats of entry permits for different types of plants or plant products.
