Plant Protection Rules (No. 2031).

The present Rules establish the procedure for obtaining the permission for the import of plants or plant products. They provide also for the inspection of the plant or plant products and the packing materials at the custom check points, and set out the procedure for the issuance of the export certificate by the plant quarantine officer. 6 Appendixes contain the following: (a) application for import permit; (b) import permit; (c) declaration form to be filled in by the importer of plant of plant product; (d) treatment fee; (e) description to be submitted by the exporter of plant or plant product along with application form; (f) phytosanitary certificate.
