Public Procurement Act, 2063 (Act No. 36 of 2007).

This Act provides for procedures and processes relating to public procurement of goods, construction works and services. Chapter 2 contains provisions relating to public procurement and lays down the responsibilities and methods to be followed by public entities for procurement. Chapter 3 lays down the process of procurement by bidding, selection of bid and granting the procurement contract. Chapter 4 provides for the process of procurement of consultancy services. Chapter 6 makes provisions for review of procurement process and decision and constitutes a public procurement Review Committee. Chapter 7 contains provisions relating to the procurement contract including the terms and conditions and amendment thereof. The Act also makes provisions for conduct of officials in procurement proceedings and monitoring of procurement activities.
