Abstract
The Act outlines regulations for the licensing, control, and treatment of dogs, with specific provisions on licensing procedures, seizure and disposal of unlicensed dogs, and the destruction of dangerous or diseased animals. It addresses civil liability for animals and includes measures against causing unnecessary suffering. Additionally, the Act gives the Cabinet authority to prohibit the importation of animals and prescribes penalties for the unlawful importation or escape of animals.The Cabinet may extend the provisions of this Act to animals other than dogs, in which case all references to dogs in the Act will also apply to those animals.
