Food Safety (Fixed Penalty Offences) Regulations 2026 (SL No.14 of 2026).

This Regulation, adopted under the Food Safety Act 2005, establishes a system of fixed penalties for specified food safety offences in Nauru, including the sale of expired, unsafe or improperly labelled food, and non-compliance with training and medical certification requirements. It empowers food inspectors to issue fixed penalty notices, prescribes offences and penalties for individuals and corporate entities, and sets procedures for service, payment and enforcement of notices. The Regulation also provides for administrative and judicial follow-up where penalties are not paid, including prosecution under the Criminal Procedure Act 1972.
