New Zealand’s Environmental Reporting Act 2015 calls for the government to publish a synthesis report every three years that describes the state of New Zealand’s environment, pressures that the environment faces, and impacts that the state of the environment is having on ecological, economic, social, and public health. The Ministry of Environment and the Statistics Office are to collaborate in producing the report.
