Abstract
This Act aims to improve and promote sustainable hazard management to enhance public well-being and safety while protecting property by encouraging communities to manage and reduce risks effectively. It mandates coordinated planning and preparation for emergencies, integrating national and local strategies, and fostering cooperation among various agencies and organizations involved in emergency management. The Act emphasizes the importance of ensuring that organizations can function effectively during and after emergencies, even if at a reduced level and requires organizations to provide their emergency plans to the Director upon request. The Act consists of 121 Articles divided into 7 Parts.
