Abstract
This Order imposes a levy on all arable crops (except maize grain, maize silage, and cereal silage) grown in New Zealand for sale or to be used within the grower’s farming operation. The levy is payable to the Foundation for Arable Research Incorporated.
The Order provides for: rates of levy based on the selling price of the arable crops; expenditure of levy money; record-keeping requirements of growers who sell arable crops; mediation of disputes; etc.
Entry into force notes
This Order enters into force on 31 July 2012.
Notes
This Order repeals the Commodity Levies (Arable Crops) Order, 2006.This Order expires 6 years after it is made by virtue of section 13(1) of the Commodity Levies Act 1990, unless earlier revoked.
