Abstract
This Order imposes a levy on kiwifruit exported to any place outside New Zealand other than Australia. The levy is payable to the New Zealand Kiwifruit Growers Incorporated by exporter who can recover the amount of the levy as a debt due from growers. The levy is intended to fund activities specifically related to kiwifruit growers, including research and development, export market development, quality assurance, crop health and protection and education and information.
The Order further provides for: record-keeping requirements of kiwifruit growers, mediation of disputes, etc.
Entry into force notes
This Order enters into force on 1 April 2012.
Notes
This Order expires 6 years after it is made by virtue of section 13(1) of the Commodity Levies Act 1990, unless earlier revoked.
