Abstract
This Order imposes a levy on navel oranges that are grown in New Zealand and exported or sold as fresh fruit. The levy is payable to the New Zealand Citrus Growers Incorporated by growers. The levy is calculated on the basis of cents per kilogram before the deduction of costs and at the first point of sale. The levy is intended to fund activities specifically related to navel oranges, including product and market research and development, quality assurance and education.
The Order further provides for: record-keeping requirements of navel oranges growers, mediation of disputes, etc.

Entry into force notes
This Order enters into force on 1 April 2012.
Notes
This Order repeals the Commodity Levies (Navel Oranges) Order, 2006.This Order expires 6 years after it is made by virtue of section 13(1) of the Commodity Levies Act 1990, unless earlier revoked.
