Abstract
These Regulations amend the Fisheries (Amateur Fishing) Regulations, 1986.
Regulation 3 has been amended by inserting a definition of bob, which is a baited stocking or net sock that is capable of catching rock lobster. A new regulation 19A has been inserted to provide daily limits of dredge oysters and scallops per fishing vessel. Regulation 20 is amended to allow for the possession of shucked dredge oysters and scallops on board of fishing vessels for consumption. Regulation 21 is amended to allow for the taking and possession of mussels with underwater breathing apparatus. Regulation 25B is amended by adding a new sub-clause, which allows bobs and ring pots to be used when taking rock lobster. A new regulation 28A is inserted to permit landing nets to be used to secure fish lawfully taken by any method.
