Abstract
These Regulations authorize the Director-General to issue Notices regulating amateur fishing in specific geographical areas (reg. 7). "Amateur fishermen" is defined as any person taking fish or aquatic life except a commercial fishermen or other licensed person. General provisions concern daily quotas, fishing by specified communities and offences. All amateur fishermen taking, possessing, or conveying any finfish, shellfish, or aquatic life shall comply with such requirements as may be specified by Notice of the Director-General.
