Abstract
These Regulations amend the Fisheries (Auckland and Kermadec Areas Amateur Fishing) Regulations 1986.
The amendments include: the insertion of the definition of “drift net”; the substitution of regulation 6C(1)(iii), the revocation of regulation 6C(1)(iv), the addition of sub-clause (2) to article 6 and the addition of a new regulation 6CA that define new measures that prohibit the use of set nets and drift nets in certain defined areas; and minor changes to regulation 11(1) and 11(2) that are consequential upon the introduction of the new measures.
