Abstract
These Regulations shall apply to persons taking fish of aquatic life other than licensed fishermen within the Auckland and Kermadec fishery management areas.
These Regulations make provision for the following: maximum daily quotas and minimum sizes for fish and shellfish; net mesh sizes and species length for a number of fish species; areas in which it shall be prohibited to fish; fishing gear; seasonal restrictions; and for offences and penalties.

Entry into force notes
These Regulations enter into force 14 days after the date of their notification in the Gazette.
Notes
These Regulations repeal the following notices: Fisheries (Ohiwa Harbour Mussel Prohibition) Notice, 1981; the Fisheries (Amateur Oyster Fishing) Notice, 1984.
