Abstract
These Regulations amend the Fisheries (Auckland and Kermadec Areas Commercial Fishing) Regulations 1986.
The amendments include: the introduction of the definition of “drift net”; the omission of the words “Trawling and” from the heading of regulation 3; changes to regulation 10A, the addition of regulations 10B and 10C, changes to regulation 15A which introduce new measures that prohibit the use of trawl nets, drift nets, and set nets in certain defined areas; and minor changes to regulation 24(2) that are consequential upon the introduction of the new measures.
