Abstract
These Regulations shall apply to commercial fishers taking or possessing any fish under a permit within the Auckland and Kermadec fishery management areas.
These Regulations make provision for the following: minimum net mesh sizes; restrictions on the use of drag nets, Danish seine and trawl nets; areas in which it shall be prohibited to set nets; areas in which it shall be prohibited to fish; areas in which it shall be prohibited to take cockle, pipi and kina; seasonal restrictions and quotas; areas in which certain fishing methods are prohibited; offences and penalties; etc.
Entry into force notes
These Regulations enter into force 14 days after the date of their notification in the Gazette.
Notes
These Regulations repeal the Fisheries (Auckland Commercial Fishing Restrictions) Notice 1985.
