Abstract
These Regulations amend the Fisheries (Challenger Area Amateur Fishing) Regulations 1986.
The amendments shall include: substitution or addition of new definitions in regulation 2A; addition of e new Regulation 2E that requires all blue cod landed within the Marlborough Sounds Area to be landed in a whole or gutted state; changes to regulations 4 and 4A updating the coordinates describing certain areas in which fishing restrictions apply; addition of new regulations 4AB to 4AD introducing new measures that prohibit the use of set nets; minor changes to regulation 4E(2); addition of a new regulation 4F on blue cod fishing restrictions; and minor changes to regulation 5(1) that are consequential upon the introduction of the new measures.
