Abstract
These Regulations regulate foreign fishing vessels to control fishing in the exclusive economic zone. They provide for the following matters: the approval of national fisheries representatives for countries that are apportioned a share of the foreign allowable catch for any fishery in the zone; the licensing of foreign fishing vessels to fish in the zone; the control of the conduct of foreign fishing vessels; and the powers of fishery officers. They also set the fees and royalties payable for licences for foreign fishing vessels to fish in the exclusive economic zone and regulate matters such as marking of vessels, use of gear and stowing, reporting, and landing of fish.
