Abstract
This Act, consisting in 4 Parts, is divided as follows: Title (sects. 1-3); Rural Fire Districts (4-6); Fire Authorities (7-17); Fire Prediction and Fire Control Measures (18-19); Control of Lighting of Fires in Open Air (20-24); Control of Spread of Fire to State Areas, Forest Areas, and Specially Protected Property (25-26); Miscellaneous Precautions Against Outbreaks of Fire (27-34); Fire Surpression (35-40); Fire Control Finance (41-54); General Provisions (55-70).

An Act to consolidate and amend the law relating to the safeguarding of life and property by the prevention, detection, control, restriction, suppression and extinction of fire in forest and rural areas and other areas of vegetation.
Entry into force notes
This Act shall come into force on a date to be appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council.
