Abstract
This Act establishes a framework for providing financial and related support to individuals in varying circumstances, aiming to promote self-sufficiency, workforce participation, and social responsibility. It authorizes assistance for those temporarily outside paid employment, those facing barriers to work due to health or caregiving duties, and those experiencing hardship. The Act emphasizes the prioritization of personal and publicly funded resources before reliance on its provisions. It also seeks to encourage youth engagement in education, training, and employment, reducing long-term dependency. Furthermore, it introduces obligations tied to receipt of support, including work, educational, financial management, parenting, and child welfare responsibilities. The Act consists of 459 Articles divided into 8 Parts and has 12 Schedules.
