Abstract
This Ministerial Decision amends the Implementing Regulation of the Law on Marine Fishing and Protection of Living Aquatic Resources by making an exception to the fishing and harvesting season for Safeelah (Abalone) from the provisions of paragraph 1 of article 15 for the year 2007. This exception starts on 1 November of that year and continues until the end of the same month.
Furthermore, the Decision adds two new paragraphs to the second paragraph in article 15 as follows: (h) The non-use of lights and artificial searchlights of all types when harvesting and gathering Safeelah; and (z) The non-use of extraction tools of Safeelah which exceed 50cm in length when used for extraction in areas within the natural environment.
