Abstract
This Ministerial Decision is composed of 3 articles, attached Regulations and two Annexes. The Ministerial Decision stipulates that the provisions of the attached Regulations on wells and Aflaj shall take effect.
The attached Regulations on Wells and Aflaj consist of 48 articles. These are separated into 8 chapters. Chapter 1 defines the words and expressions used in the Regulations. Chapter 2 refers to well registration procedures. Chapter 3 deals with well permits whilst well permit procedures are discussed in Chapter 4. Chapter 5 is dedicated to procedures for Aflaj (irrigation channel) permits. Chapter 6 lists the registration and duties of contractors. Violations are summarized in Chapter 7 and penalties in Chapter 8. Annex 1 lists reasons for the rejection of applications for well permits. Annex 2 provides guidelines for well permits policy.
