Ministerial Decision No. 57 of 2002 amending Regulations on the management of solid non hazardous waste issued by Ministerial Decision No. 17 of 1993.

This Ministerial Decision amends Regulations on the management of solid non hazardous waste by replacing the text of article 7 with the following: “The Ministry issues licences for establishing sanitary or treatment locations for burying waste and licences for dumping solid non-hazardous waste in Omani waters. In return for the issuance of these licences a fee of 200 Baisa per ton is payable where the total load is less than 50 000 tons. Where the load exceeds 50 000 tons, a fee of 100 Baisa is payable”.
