Abstract
This Ministerial Decision amends Ministerial Decision No. 187 of 2001 issuing Regulations for organizing the issuance of environmental approvals and final environmental permits.
The Ministerial Decision makes the following amendments: replacement of the phrase in article 1 “...and shall be valid for 1 year, renewable for a similar period.“ with the phrase“...and shall be valid for a maximum of one year renewable for similar period(s)”; replacement of the words “...one year”, stated in the paragraph for Temporary Environmental Approval in Article 1 with the words “...for the maximum of one year”; addition to the end of article 2 of the text “The Ministry may add future projects or any projects similar to the projects stated in the Annex dividing the establishments into categories after approval of the Ministry of Finance”. The Annex attached to this Ministerial Decision divides establishments into 3 categories: Category One – Carpentry Workshops; Category Two – Water Treatment Stations; Category Three – Chemical Plants. Each category provides a list of establishments that come under that category.
