Ministerial Resolution No. 189/2018 amending some provisions of the Executive Regulations of the Law of Maritime Fishing and Protection of Live Aquatic Wealth.

This Resolution consisting of 3 articles aims at amending the Regulation of 1994 by (i) establishing at art.4 paragraph 2.a that the license for fishing vessels are necessary for artisan fishing boats, advanced fishing boats, artisanal fishing vessels, coastal fishing vessels, and commercial fishing vessels; (ii) establishing at art.4 paragraph 3.c that the license period is 3 three years (instead of 1 year), and the competent authority may issue a permit that expires with the expiry of the indicated period or purpose; (iii) adding art.18 bis that prohibits to possess fishing nets, equipment or tools whose use is restricted under a license, unless after obtaining the necessary license from the competent authority.
