Abstract
This Decree issues the Law on Expropriation of Ownership for Public Interest.
The Decree is divided in three Chapters: Expropriation of property (I); Temporary seizure of real property (II); General provisions (III).
Chapter I sets out rules and procedures for the expropriation of ownership by the competent authority. It also lists the complaint and compensation procedures. Chapter II concerns the temporary seizure of property in case of emergency due to hurricanes or to the outbreak of epidemics.
