Abstract
The purpose of this Order is to ensure an adequate supply of timber and other forest products through the effective protection and sustainable management of natural forests, and the development of industrial forest plantations.
An Industrial Forest Plantation Management Agreement (IFMA) may be issued to any qualified person in agreement with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in order to occupy and possess, in consideration of a specified rental, any forest land of the public domain in order to establish an industrial forest plantation. The Order provides for areas available for IFMA, mode of disposition of areas, incentives for IFMA holders, harvesting and utilization of products planted under IFMA, etc.
