Abstract
This Executive Order provides for the reorganisation and restructuring of the Department of Environment and Natural Resource in light of policies of the state for protection of environment, sustainable development and sustainable use. The Department shall be the primary government agency responsible for the conservation, management, development and proper use of the country's environment and natural resources, specifically forest, grazing lands and mineral resources. The Order describes objectives of the Department as assuring the availability and sustainability of the country's natural resources, increasing the productivity of natural resources, enhancing the contribution of natural resources for achieving national economic and social development, promoting equitable access to natural resources and conserving specific terrestrial and marine areas representative of the Philippine natural and cultural heritage for present and future generations. Other provisions of this Order refer to lands management, mines and geo-science bureau, ecosystem research bureau, protected areas and wildlife bureau, pollution adjustment board and field offices. This Order consists of 33 Sections.
