Philippines’ Readiness in the Voluntary Forest Carbon Market Roadmap 2026-2030.

This Roadmap establishes the Philippines’ strategic framework (2026–2030) for participation in the voluntary forest carbon market, aiming to strengthen climate mitigation through sustainable forest management and carbon finance. It identifies key priority areas including development of a comprehensive policy and regulatory framework, establishment of monitoring, reporting and verification (MRV) systems and carbon registries, strengthening of institutional coordination and capacity, and promotion of sustainable financing and private sector engagement. The Roadmap also outlines phased implementation, multi-stakeholder collaboration, and alignment with national climate commitments to ensure transparency, environmental integrity and effective integration of forest carbon initiatives into national development planning.
