Abstract
This Act provides for the regulation of maritime activities and the safeguard of maritime interests of Pakistan by constituting a Maritime Security Agency (sect. 3). The Director-General shall control and administer the Agency. Powers and functions of the Agency are set out in sections 10 and 11. Any officers or members of the Agency may make inquiries, examinations, inspections, investigation, searches, seizures, and arrests for prevention, detection and suppression of contravention of any law for the time being in force within the Maritime Zones. (20 sections and 1 Schedule)
