Abstract
These Rules shall extend to all the internal waters of the North-West Frontier Province and consist of 5 Parts divided into 53 rules.
The Director of Fisheries shall issue fishing licences, which shall entitle the holder to fish in any of the waters mentioned in the Appendices by using specific fishing gear (Part II). The Director of Fisheries may put to auction the rights to fishing in any of the public waters mentioned in Appendix V and shall execute a lease deed with highest suitable bidder which shall remain in force for one year (Part III). Licences to fish in waters reserved for departmental operations shall be granted on payment as provided for in Part IV. Final provisions concern the enforcement of the Ordinance, as well as offences and legal proceedings. Part V provides for the division of trout waters into reaches and deals with the following matters: licences for trout waters; licence fees; size and number of trouts to be caught; fishing gear; fishing season, etc. The Director of Fisheries shall grant a provincial angling licence which shall enable its holder to fish in any of the waters mentioned in rule 48 (Part VI).
