Abstract
This Act lays down conditions of marketing and use of biocidal products on the territory of Poland, whilst ensuring a high level of protection of human and animal health as well as the environment. The present Act establishes also tasks of organizational units responsible for controlling poisonings with biocidal products and entities supervising compliance with the conditions of marketing and use of biocidal products and products treated with biocidal products and the scope of supervision exercised by these entities. Biocidal products shall be used in a rational manner by using combinations of physical, chemical, biological and other means to limit the use of biocidal products to the necessary minimum and in a manner consistent with the instructions on the label and package leaflet. Biocidal products and articles treated with biocidal products, used or placed on the market of the territory of the Republic of Poland, are labelled in Polish language.
