Act on organic farming and organic production.

This Act, which is composed of 43 articles, lays down tasks and competences of public administration and organizational units dealing with organic agriculture specified in Council Regulation (EC) No. 2018/848 on organic production and labeling of organic products and repealing Regulation (EEC) No. 834/2007 and in Regulation (EU) 2017/625 of the European Parliament and of the Council on official controls and other official activities performed to ensure the application of food and feed law, rules on animal health and welfare, plant health and plant protection products. Furthermore the Act regulates matters related to organic production to the extent not regulated in the provisions of the European Union, including performing official controls and other official activities, and conditions of organic production. The Chief Inspector of Agricultural and Food Quality is the authority competent in matters concerning organic farming and organic production.
