Abstract
This Regulation of the Minister of Environment, which is composed of two paragraphs, lays down good practice requirements in the field of forest management. These requirements are specified in par. 1 and include in particular: (1) a field vision must be carried out to check the occurrence of protected species before starting work in the field of forest management; (2) the stands where protected species occur are temporarily marked before the works; (3) at watersides of water reservoirs and watercourses, at a distance of 10 meters from the shoreline, fallen trees, understory and large stones must be left to facilitate access to water and animal migration; (4) no trees on which nested nests have been identified may be cut during the breeding season of birds; (5) hollow trees are left for their natural disintegration; (6) dead trees are left in order to ensure the continuity of dead wood, however, its amount may not create a fire hazard or the risk of harmful biotic factors.
