Regulation on the reduction of emissions of volatile organic compounds contained in certain paints and varnishes intended for painting buildings and their elements and in mixtures for vehicle refurbishment.

This Regulation of the Minister of Development, which is composed of nine paragraphs and two Annexes, lays down procedures and measures intended to prevent and reduce as far as possible the effects of emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC) into the environment, particularly into the air. The present Regulation establishes requirements for paints and varnishes containing VOC, intended for painting buildings and their elements, and for mixtures for vehicle refurbishment: (1) numerical markings and product features ensuring identification of the product, group of products and their names; (2) acceptable values of the maximum VOC content in these products; (3) the scope of information provided on labels of these products; (4) test methods according to which the maximum VOC content in products should be determined; (5) methods of control.
