Regulation on types of fermented wine beverages and detailed organoleptic, physical and chemical requirements for these beverages.

This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development,which is composed of 18 articles, establishes types of fermented wine beverages depending on different of classifications. The following types are specified depending on the carbon dioxide content: calm, semi-sparking, sparkling, semi-sparkling carbonated, sparkling carbonated. The following types are specified depending on the content of sugar: dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet, sweet, very sweet. The following types are establishes for mead: depending on added fruit juice – fruit mead, grape mead; depending on herbs and spices: herbal, spice, herb and spice; depending on the fermentation: saturated, non-saturated. Art. 4-17 describe organoleptic, physical and chemical properties of individual types of wine beverages.
