Abstract
This Decree-Law, consisting of 8 Chapters and 5 Annexes, establishes specific animal health requirements to put on the market, transit and import from third countries aquaculture products, as well as minimum community measures to fight disease of fish and bivalve molluscs and aquaculture animals and related products. Moreover, the Decree-Law establishes measures aimed at the prevention and control of diseases in aquaculture animals.

Decreto-Lei n. 152/2009: Transpõe para a ordem jurídica interna a Directiva n.º 2006/88/CE, do Conselho, de 24 de Outubro, relativa aos requisitos zoossanitários aplicáveis aos animais de aquicultura e produtos derivados, bem como à prevenção e combate a certas doenças dos animais aquáticos, alterada pela Directiva n.º 2008/53/CE, do Conselho, de 30 de Abril, e revoga os Decretos-Leis n.os 191/97, de 29 de Julho, 149/97, de 12 de Junho, 548/99, de 14 de Dezembro, e 175/2001, de 1 de Junho.
