Abstract
This Decree-Law regulates the activities of distribution, sale, provision of services for the application of plant protection products and their application by final user. Low-risk plant protection products are not covered by this Decree-Law, with the exception of the rules applicable to packaging waste and surplus of these plant protection products. Plant protection products must comply with the following requirements: stored and sold in facilities exclusively intended for these products; isolated and identified in appropriate facilities; consider volume and classes of danger of plant protection products, indicated on the labels, the premises of distributing companies and sales outlets must obey the recommendations issued by the Directorate-General for the Protection of Cultures (DGPC). Distribution companies and sales outlets must implement procedures for the safe storage and handling of plant protection products, namely the registration of stocks and movements and must provide appropriate structures for the reception, collection and storage of packaging waste and residues of surplus plant protection products, etc.
