Decree-Law No. 184/97 regulating the authorization for trade, production and use of animal drugs.

This Decree-Law approves the legal regime regulating the authorization for trade, production and use of animal drugs according to EC Directives No. 90/676, No. 93/40 and No. 93/41. It consists of 12 chapters and 3 annexes regulating the aforementioned activity and is divided as follows: Objectives (Chap. 1); Authorization of trade (2); Technical Commission (3); Production and import/export (4); Distribution of drugs (5); Provisions on drugs management (6); Labelling and information (7); Advertisement (8); Clinic tests (9); Fees (10); Control and penalties (11); Final provisions (12). Annexes specify biotechnology methods to obtain drugs.
