Abstract
This Decree-Law establishes sanitary measures to be applied in order to combat bovine spongiform encephalopaty. It consists of 8 articles and 4 annexes enforcing the EC Commission Decision No. 2001/376 of 18 April, regulating production, exploitation and trade of: a) cattle and bovine embryos; b) bone and meat wheat originating from mammals; c) animal feed and fertilizers; d) meat of bovine slaughtered in Portugal; e) cosmetic and medical products; etc.
