Decree-Law No. 264/79 regulating bird sanctuary.

This Decree-Law provides for wild bird protection regulating bird sanctuary. It consists of 5 articles establishing restrictions to be applied in order to protect bird species within the aforementioned protected areas (including bird habitat preservation, migratory species and nest area protection, management, etc.). Agricultural activity may be performed within these areas only if authorized.
