Abstract
This Decree-Law establishes the legal regime for concession, exploitation and management of public water (abstraction, treatment and supply). It consists of 5 articles establishing water concession requirements, service of water suply responsibilities, etc. and 1 annex specifying in detail every requirement to be met for obtaining a water concession (which includes: abstraction, treatment and supply of water for public consumption). It also lists waterwork construction requirements, water supplier obligations, suspension of supply, terms of contractual rescission, controls, sanctions, etc.
