Abstract
The General Direction of Fisheries (DGP) is an operative service of the Ministry of the Sea with an autonomous administration. Its duties are: studying, coordinating and controlling fishing activity; collaborating on national fisheries; controlling maritime fisheries, aquaculture, marine salt extraction, treatment and marketing of fishing products industry; guaranteeing the protection, conservation and management of living marine resources; authorizing productivity methods; promoting studies; disseminating information, etc.
