Regulation Decree No. 12/97 approving the Fishing and Aquaculture General Direction’s organic law.

This Decree approves the Fishing and Aquaculture General Directions’(DGP) organic law. This General Direction withing the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries central services, is endowed with administrative autonomy, its functions are to promote and regulate exploration of all live sea resources. It should, in collaboration with other competent services, put into practice a sustainable sectorial policy as to preserve these resources formed by not only fishing but also aquaculture, transforming industry and related activities.
