Abstract
This Decree-Law amends the General Waste Management Regime (RGGR), approved in the Annex to Decree-Law No. 102-D/2020 of 10 December, and the regime for the management of specific waste streams subject to the principle of extended producer responsibility, approved by Decree-Law No. 152-D/2017 of 11 December. Decree-Law No. 24/2024, of 26 March, made the latest amendment to Decree-Law No. 102-D/2020, by updating the RGGR in order to ensure the compatibility of waste management standards with the objectives and measures set out in the National Waste Management Plan, the Strategic Plan for Urban Waste and the Strategic Plan for Waste, completing the transposition of Directive (EU) 2018/851 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 May 2018 amending Directive 2008/98/EC on waste (Waste Framework Directive).
