Abstract
This Decree-Law regulates the production, control, certification and commercialization of seeds of agricultural and horticultural species, with the exception of those used for ornamental purposes. Seed mixtures for non-fodder use, mixtures intended for the installation of lawns or mixtures intended for any plant cover used as soil protection are not considered to be for ornamental purposes. This Decree-Law transposes into national law Commission Directive No 2009/74/EC of 26 June 2009 amending Council Directives No 66/401/EEC, No 66/402/EEC, No 2002/55/EC and No 2002/57/EC as regards botanical names of plants, scientific names of other organisms and certain Annexes to Directives No 66/401/EEC, No 66/402/EEC and No 2002/57/EC in the light of developments in scientific and technical knowledge.
