Abstract
This Decree-Law regulates the production, control and certification of seeds of agricultural and horticultural species intended for marketing, with the exception of those used for ornamental purposes, transposing into national law Council Directive No. 2004/117/EC of 22 December 2004 on examinations carried out under official supervision and on the equivalence of seed produced in third countries. Seed mixtures for non-fodder use, mixtures intended for the installation of lawns or mixtures intended for any plant cover that is used as soil protection shall not be considered for ornamental purposes.
